Let's Get Festive

Good morning crafty friends, I hope all's well in your crafty worlds! It's that time again where I get to use lots of fabulous WOW! products and create something for the blog challenge. This month the challenge is to use one stamp in three different ways.

I decide to use the Let It Snow stamp and I started by stamping snowflakes for the background in Opaque Bright White powder which I then gently inked. I then created a shaker element and used Teal Fab Foil and bonding powder for the falling snow.

Finally, I stamped a sentiment on vellum with Metallic Silver powder and added snowflakes either side which I stamped then triple embossed with Clear Gloss powder.

The possibilities are endless with this challenge, I hope you all have a lot of fun with it.

Hi WOW's fan. This is Laurence (laury55) today to show you a triptych. On each panel I included a different technique with the same stamp.

On the left one, I created a background where I stamped with the same stamp from the Flights of Fancy stamp set. I cut out some images and covered the hat with 2 coats of clear Gloss ultra high embossing powder to add interest.

For my second technique I stamped the same pattern on a separate sheet of paper and heat embossed it with WOW paprika.

The third technique is a combination of the 2 previous techniques: heat embossing and repetition of the same pattern. I used watercolor paper and cut out a second sheet of paper of the same dimension. I die cut a circle and used it as a stencil to stamp and heat emboss with WOW opaque bright white. With my second sheet still on top of the watercolor paper I added color with distress ink. The stamped leaves will resist to ink and you will color a circle with your "stencil".

I hope you will be inspired and play along on our current challenge.

Pastel New Year card

Hello, dear friends!
Victoria is on the blog today. This month our theme is "One stamp - three ways" and I've chosen to play along with Let It Snow (by Marion Emberson) - Clear Stamp Set. For my card I used snow-flakes from the set in three different ways.

Flower Card by Susanne.

Hi everyone.

It's Susanne writing today and I'm sharing a flower card. Our theme this month is "One stamp in three ways". So I decided to oick one of the Hey Little Flower images and use it differently.

I started by creating my pieces:
1. I created my background. I stamped the image with black permanent ink to colour it with watercolours.
2. I created a smaller piece where I embossed the image with Bright White powder. I wanted to colour the whole piece. The embossing pops up as it resists the watercolour.
3. I cut out one single flower, which was embossed with the Colour Blend Mint Macaroon and coloured with watercolours, too.

Finally I put the card together and added a sentiment.I adhered the single flower with 3d foam pads to make it pop.

Thank you for stopping by today.
xx Susanne.

Mixed Media ATC Trio

Hey sweet crafty friends!

I hope you are all doing well. It's Fran with your dose of WOW! inspiration and I have some micro mini wonders to share with you today in the form of ATC's (artist trading cards). I have used a selection of  WOW embossing powders to create a variety of textures and effects.
And here is my set of three ATC's together. I wanted to create a set which matched in terms of colour scheme and accents but were all individual.
The base for this one stared out as an old postcard which I cut down prepared with gesso. I stamped the circular stamp from the Spark 'n' Shine set all over the card then adhered pen nibs and pieces of crumpled Copper Fab Foil onto one of the stamped circles to fashion the main feature of the card. Textures have been created with the use of micro beads, Copper Ultra High and Blueberry Cheesecake embossing powder which I melted over the beads.
For the second ATC I used the same postcard, again cut down to form the base card and added gesso to prime the surface once again. using some mica spray to which I added Green Pearl and Peppermint Tea embossing powders which gave a beautiful subtle shine to the background then just layered embellishments and highlighted with Ultra Rich Gold powder.

The resin heart embellishment has been made using the WOW! Hearts mould and Melt It powder mixed with Silver Stratosphere embossing powder. I've finished the card off with a border stamp from the Pick 'n' Mix set.
For the final card I used a piece of scrap packaging as a base which I layered with denim scraps, tiny wooden shapes, old brads and gems. I covered with gesso to allow my paint spray to adhere properly then added Copper Ultra High, Chocolate Caramel Pearl and Primary Blue Tang powders into the wet spray once again and melted. For the main embellishment I have used a leave stamp from the Flights of Fancy stamp set which I stamped onto card and coloured with a paint spray. To create a beautiful iridescent two tone effect I melted Pearl Green powder on top of the wet spray.

Have a wonderfully creative day
